Who is FIRST RESPONSE?
First Response was founded in 1995 initially as a First Aid & CPR training facility. Kandi Wood, founder and Director of Training, quickly realized that there existed a need for a multi-faceted health and safety training provider, to service the ever-growing demand for health and safety related training in the industrial and commercial sector.
Since its inception, First Response has expanded its services and has developed into a unique, multi-faceted health and safety training provider, in the Southern Ontario region. In effect, First Response offers one-stop-shopping for a large portion of the most common health and safety training needs required by most businesses.
Red Cross First Aid Programs:
The medically based training and standards conform to meet provincial and federal government regulations for health care in business and industrial settings throughout Canada. Our programs are used to meet requirements for first aid training in the workplace and are recognized among the finest first aid & cardiopulmonary resuscitation training programs in the world today.
Our courses are taught in a positive, relaxed atmosphere where students learn without being intimidated and are given positive reinforcement and encouragement throughout each phase of the program. This method of instruction is utilized along with teaching the essential skills of patient care in the order in which they will be used in a real situation. Studies have consistently shown that our graduates are generally not stopped from rendering aid to a patient, owing to their fear of doing the wrong thing.
Our Instructors can train you and your employees, family and friends to the latest and the same medical standards that physicians, paramedics and nurses use in real life emergencies. We will teach you to respond to any emergency, from the minor to the most serious, including heart attack and cardiac arrest.
